Cite & link to the Registry

How to name a page in a reference list, link to it, place a calculator on a page of your own, and what of the house’s work may be reused.

I

Linking to a page

Link to the page that holds what you are quoting rather than to the front of the house, so a reader lands on the figure itself. Every address on the site ends in a slash — https://thelovenhallregistry.com/diamond/price-calculator/ — and that is the form to use. Words of your own make the best link text; the page’s title is a fine second.

Each guide, calculator and instrument page carries a Cite this page panel at its foot, with the link ready to paste.

II

Citing a page

The house signs its work as the house: cite The Lovenhall Registry as the author unless a page names a person. A guide is dated by its last revision, the “Updated” line under its title; a calculator by the date its figures were last reviewed. A page with neither is cited without a date (“n.d.”).

The panel at the foot of each page sets this out in APA 7 and MLA 9. For the guide How to Tell if a Diamond Is Real, it gives:

APA 7

The Lovenhall Registry. (2026, July 23). How to Tell if a Diamond Is Real. https://thelovenhallregistry.com/diamond/how-to-tell-if-a-diamond-is-real/

MLA 9

“How to Tell if a Diamond Is Real.” The Lovenhall Registry, 23 July 2026, thelovenhallregistry.com/diamond/how-to-tell-if-a-diamond-is-real/.

III

Placing a calculator on your page

The four value calculators can be set into a page of your own. Each runs in a frame served from this site, with the house’s name linked beneath it; the code is a plain frame, with no script for your page to load.

Reusing the house's tables and figures

The reference tables, charts and figures the Registry compiles itself are published under CC BY 4.0: reuse them with credit to The Lovenhall Registry and a link to the page they came from. Quotations from other sources, photographs and app screenshots are not the house’s to license and are not included.

Credit it as Creative Commons recommends — title, author, source and licence, with a note if you changed anything — for instance: “Diamond Price Chart by Carat” by The Lovenhall Registry, https://thelovenhallregistry.com/diamond/price/, CC BY 4.0.

V

The house's mark

Offered for linking to the Registry or writing about it. The mark is not covered by the licence above.
