Authenticate Omega Seamaster
The dive line, with a helium valve that has to be a real component.

The Seamaster's wave-pattern dials on the Diver 300M are laser-engraved into the dial surface rather than printed, and the pattern should be crisp and even across the whole face with the texture catching light differently as the watch tilts. A printed wave pattern is decisive against.
The helium escape valve at 10 o'clock is functional on the references that specify it — it screws down and unscrews, and it is not a glued disc. Counterfeits frequently fit a decorative version.
Modern Seamasters use co-axial calibres with the maison's chronometer certification, visible through the display back, and the movement's finishing and engraved calibre number are the decisive check.
What a Seamaster does on the secondary market
High supply, so condition and configuration price it. Ceramic-bezel modern references hold better than the aluminium-insert generations they replaced.
An orientation for honest, unrestored condition — never an appraisal, and never a quotation.
