Bought from inside your vault, once a piece has photographs against it. Refunded in full if the house cannot read it.
That is the entire price list. There is nothing else to buy, no upgrade, and no charge that appears later.
What you are buying, plainly
The Lovenhall Registry is a piece of software. You upload photographs of something you own; a machine-learning model reads them and writes a document; the document is stored in your account under a reference number. That is the whole of it.
Nobody at the Registry looks at your piece. There is no appraiser, no gemmologist and no valuer on the other end, and no human reviews what the model writes. We do not inspect, authenticate, certify or advise. Any figure a record contains is an automated estimate, not a professional valuation, and should not be relied on for insurance, sale or any other decision without independent verification by a qualified person.
The questions we get
- Is there a subscription?
- No. The vault is free for as long as you want it, and a record is a single payment for a single piece. Nothing renews and you are never billed for something you have not chosen.
- Do I have to record everything I keep?
- No — and most members do not. The vault is useful on its own. Record the pieces where it matters that someone other than you can see what they are.
- Is tax included?
- Paddle is the merchant of record for every purchase: they are the seller named on your receipt, they take the payment, and they charge and remit any VAT or sales tax due in your country. Whatever is due where you live is shown at checkout before you pay.
- What if the reading isn't much use?
- Every reading states its own confidence. If the house marks it low — the photographs could not carry a judgement — we refund you, and we offer it on the record rather than waiting to be asked. A sound reading you simply disagree with is not refunded; that answer is what you bought. See the refund policy.
- What if the reading fails?
- Your accession is struck the moment you pay and stands regardless. You can ask the house to try again as often as you like at no cost, and if it still cannot be finished we refund you in full — whenever that is.
- Is a record an appraisal?
- A Lovenhall record is generated automatically by software from the photographs its owner uploads. Nobody at the Registry examines the piece, and no professional opinion is given. It is not a certificate of authenticity, an appraisal, a gemmological report, or a guarantee of value; any figure it contains is an estimate produced by a model, and independent verification is always advised before a purchase or sale.
