Verify a record
A record is only worth something to someone else if they can check it themselves. This counter will confirm an accession without opening the owner's file.
The counter opens once records are being issued.
What will be shown
- That a record exists under that accession
- The date it was entered, and last updated
- Whether it is a diamond or a work of art
- That papers were lodged, and when
What will not
- The owner's name or any contact detail
- The captures, the papers, or the full reading
- Any figure, unless the owner shares it
The Registry confirms when a document was lodged and that it has not changed since. It does not warrant that a document is itself genuine.
